Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and us for using 240fps. They’re written to be read: if anything is unclear, ask us.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to 240fps (240fps.com), a browser-based editor for device mockups and product videos operated by Shaheer Malik (“we”, “us”). By using 240fps you agree to them. If you use it for a company, you confirm you can agree on its behalf. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
2. Accounts
You can design without an account. Adding websites, saving projects to your account and buying a plan need one; you sign in with Google or Apple. Keep that account secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used yours. You must be at least 16 to create an account. You can delete your account at any time from the 240fps menu.
3. Free plan, Monthly and Lifetime
Designing is free. 240fps Monthly ($7 a month) and 240fps Lifetime (a single payment of $39) each add exporting images and videos, copying to the clipboard, the brand kit and 240fps for Mac, plus any tax shown at checkout. Videos made in the browser can be up to 60 seconds long.
- Monthly renews every month until you cancel it from Manage subscription in the 240fps menu; it stays on until the end of the month you’ve paid for.
- Lifetime is one payment, not a subscription. It covers 240fps and its updates for as long as we offer 240fps, on the account you bought it with.
- 240fps is download-only: your exports are files you keep. Neither plan includes share links or storing your exports with us.
- Pro subscriptions are no longer sold. If you have one, it keeps everything it included, share links too, and renews until you cancel it from Manage subscription in the 240fps menu; it stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- We may change what’s included in each plan; we won’t take away a feature you’ve already paid for.
4. Payments and refunds
240fps Lifetime and Pro are sold by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as the merchant of record: it processes payments, issues invoices and handles sales tax, and its terms of sale also apply to your purchase. Refunds are handled under Polar’s refund policy and any rights you have under consumer law. If something went wrong with a charge, contact us through Send feedback and we’ll help.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to what you put into 240fps (screenshots, recordings, logos, music, text) and to what you make with it. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your synced projects, render the websites you add, and serve the share links you create.
You’re responsible for having the rights to what you upload, capture and publish, including music, logos, screenshots of other products, and any people or personal data that appear in them.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use 240fps to:
- make, store or share anything illegal, infringing, deceptive or harmful, or that impersonates someone else;
- capture websites you aren’t allowed to use, or to scrape, crawl or monitor websites;
- get around usage limits, rate limits or the paywall, or put unreasonable load on the service;
- probe, attack or interfere with 240fps or other people’s use of it;
- resell the service or build a competing product from it.
We may remove content, delete share links, or suspend accounts that break these rules. A share link that others report may be taken down while we look into it.
7. Device names and trademarks
240fps is independent and not affiliated with Apple, Google, Samsung or any other device maker. Product names such as iPhone, iPad and MacBook only describe which device a frame shows, and remain the trademarks of their owners. When you use device mockups in marketing, follow the relevant owner’s guidelines where they apply.
8. Our service
240fps, its code, design, device drawings, templates and brand belong to us. You may use the templates, frames and backgrounds in the images and videos you make, including for commercial work, but not redistribute them as a library or kit of their own.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep 240fps running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. Features, including website capture, may have limits or change over time. Keep your own copies of work that matters: export it or keep the files you added.
10. Warranties and liability
240fps is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be limited by contract.
11. Ending
You can stop using 240fps and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and we’ll give notice where we reasonably can. If we ever shut 240fps down, we’ll give paying users reasonable notice and a pro-rated refund for time already paid.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For significant changes we’ll give notice in the editor before they apply; continuing to use 240fps after that means you accept them. Questions: use Send feedback in the editor.
